Hi there,

Have you ever asked yourself“What will people remember about me?”or “What will my contribution to this earth be?”

About 15 years ago, this was exactly what I asked myself. And I realized that I had no direction to speak of, so I sat down and made that bucket list that everyone talks about...

1. Learn how to ballroom dance (dancing is fun, right?)

2. Learn how to play the piano (8 out of 10 difficult - I will return to this when I retire)

3. Figure out if I can paint (my grandfather did and his painting hung in my home growing up)🖌️

And one by one, I began tackling the list…

💃🏻The dancing was fun and relatively easy.

🎹The piano was very challenging and took a lot of time.

And I really enjoyed both.

But when it came to that last item on the list, it was a different story. I had found the missing puzzle piece that became a true passion for me.‼️❣️‼️

I picked up the paint brush, andmy life changed.😍🎨

Expressing my creativity by putting thoughts and feelings on canvas or paper turned out to be the one thing that I knew I could contribute.

A New Collection is Born

About 2 months into the pandemic I found myself not working as my day job was closed, and I had as much spare time on my hands as I had ever had in my entire adult life!

I went into my art studio and just started to create. Without any limitations on my time, (no one was going to an art show for sure!) I took the opportunity to try some new materials and dove into creating the mixed media medallion series that I have now named “The Inspiration Collection”.

I was truly inspired by this creative process, and decided to use the shapes and symbols that I felt a real connection to. No doubt the Covid times we were living in had a major impact on the creative process.

I chose medallions for protection 🪬, elephants 🐘for wisdom and good luck. And triangles for stability and power.

As I created layers of watercolor, collage, acrylic, and ink, I felt the richness of all these mediums coming together to create each piece.

The journey has been fantastic!
